Greetings, friends. It’s… been a while. I don’t really have much to say for myself, but I’ve missed blogging and will hopefully be making more time for it soon.
Two days ago, the cover for Dust by Kara Swanson was officially revealed to the internet. Kara Swanson is the author of The Girl Who Could See (I totally recommend), and this summer her YA Peter Pan retelling will be out in the world. Kara is also an instructor on The Young Writers Workshop. She’s pretty amazing.
Without further ado, here is the lovely cover!
The truth about Neverland is far more dangerous than a fairy tale.
Claire Kenton believes the world is too dark for magic to be real—since her twin brother was stolen away as a child. Now Claire’s desperate search points to London… and a boy who shouldn’t exist.
Peter Pan is having a beastly time getting back to Neverland. Grounded in London and hunted by his own Lost Boys, Peter searches for the last hope of restoring his crumbling island: a lass with magic in her veins.
The girl who fears her own destiny is on a collision course with the boy who never wanted to grow up. The truth behind this fairy tale is about to unravel everything Claire thought she knew about Peter Pan—and herself.
I’m beyond excited to read this. I have to admit, I haven’t actually read the original Peter Pan yet… but it seems super cool. I can only imagine how epic this twist on it will be.
All you have to do is submit your pre-order receipt here, and these items will be delivered to your email inbox!
Dust will be out this July. Which means I’ll get to read it as soon as it arrives on my doorstep, with no school in my way. 😉 If only summer would come sooner…
Farewell for now,
