Greetings! Today I am sharing a list of what I want to do this summer. Hopefully these goals will prevent me from wasting the precious summer days. Enjoy! Maybe you’ll find some things you want to add to your own summer bucket list.
- Read 40+ books. 📚
- Do a 24 hour readathon.
- Finish writing Ready or Not (draft one). 📝
- Start Ready or Not draft two.
- Work on a new project. (Try to make an outline for it. Maybe.) 📋
- Find an ice cream truck. I didn’t accomplish this last year, but I really want to! 🍦
- Meet a blogging friend. 😀 I’d love to meet more than one…
- Practice driving. 😬 Yikes. I can get my permit this summer, but I’m really nervous.
- Read outside a lot.☀️📖 I love to read out in the sun, but it really hurts my eyes. I suppose I should get some sunglasses. XD
- Exercise. 🏃🏻♀️
- Socialize occasionally. 💁🏻♀️
- BINGE WATCH STRANGER THINGS SEASON 3. This is a given, but it will be one of the highlights of my summer. 👩🏻💻
- Get my drivers permit. 🚘😵
- Spend time writing at a coffee shop and the library.
- Win Camp NaNoWriMo.
- Write lots of letters to my pen-pals.
- Post twice a week on my blog.
- Use the Young Writers Workshop frequently.
- Write at least one short story.
. . .
That was a pretty long list. Hopefully I can do it! I want to spend a lot of this summer writing and developing a consistent writing schedule. Growing this blog is also important to me. But I’ve been isolating myself a little too much in the past months. So I suppose I’ll leave the house sometimes to hang out with friends. 😉
What are your plans this summer?
Have a lovely day!

I love you list!! I want to join the Young Writers Workshop so badly. It looks amazing! I got my driver’s permit last year, and it’s going pretty well so far. 😉 Good luck on the test! (And my advice is STUDY HARD for the test! It’s not super difficult, but you’ll pass really easily if you know everything really well 🙂 )

Awesome bucket list! Sounds like your summer is packed.
Just a question, what’s the Young Writers Workshop?

It’s this really cool online workshop for young Christian writers. It gives you access to a library of writing lesson videos and an online community. I’ll send you the link. 😃

Hello Mya! I just stumbled upon your lovely blog. You seem to have a lot of great goals! Good luck achieving them! 🙂
I saw you have published a book, so I had a quick question for you. I’m currently in the plotting phase of my novel, would you have any tips for that process? I’m kinda stuck, but I’m slowly making my way out the abyss called “writer’s block”. Haha. Anyways, I hope you’re having a great day! 🙂

Hi Saege! Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner!
My advice is to know what direction you want your story to go in. I didn’t really do that for my current WIP, and because of that I was getting stuck a lot. So I decided to go back and make a thorough outline, which I am working on right now. I think that if you regularly brainstorm and work on your novel, it will help you know what to write. At least, that’s what’s worked for me. 🙂 And don’t be afraid to explore different ideas for your story and decide what’s best before you start writing, so when you do you will have a clear idea of what you’re doing. I hope that helped!
Thank you for your kind comment!
