Meeting Nadine Brandes & Stephanie Garber

Greetings! Last week, I had the privilege to attend a joint book signing with two authors, Nadine Brandes and Stephanie Garber!! I love Nadine’s books, and I have loved Stephanie’s Caraval trilogy so far (I haven’t read Finale just yet, but I bet it will be great). πŸ˜€ So I was super excited to get to meet both of them at once.

I accidentally went to the wrong library first… so we (my dad and I) had to rush to the right one. We made it right before it started. I was planning on taking pictures during the talking, but I was in the very back row and couldn’t even see them. XD Big downside of being short. But I got some pictures with them at the signing line. πŸ™‚

Finale bookmark and chocolate. πŸ˜›

During the talk, they discussed what music they listen to while they write, writing processes, romance in books, Harry Potter houses (I’m also in Ravenclaw, Nadine!), and more. It was all very exciting.

Me waiting to meet the authors. Yes, I toted all those books there to be signed. XD

Finally came the moment to meet the authors. I was sitting in that chair waiting, and no one was talking to Nadine. She looked over at me, and I held up A Time to Die.Β Then she ushered me over and I got to talk to her for a really long time!

Nadine is SO nice, and I can’t believe I got to meet her and have a whole conversation with her. Read her books now if you haven’t yet, they are all AMAZING and I love them so much. ❀

I read Nadine’s newest book, Romanov, as soon as it arrived in the mail. It was amazing! The characters, plot, the writing… it was beautiful. The Out of Time trilogy is probably my favorite of Nadine’s books, but all of them are amazing. (Also Nadine’s husband was taking a picture at the same time as my dad took the one above, and Nadine posted it on her Instagram! *fangirls*)

A little later I met Stephanie Garber! She noticed how my necklace matched the Finale cover, which was nice. πŸ˜€ Even though it was pretty late when she signed my books, she was very friendly. I’m pretty sure I was either the last or second to last person in line. I plan on rereading Caraval and Legendary soon, and then reading Finale. It’ll be a Stephanie Garber readathon. XD

That was my experience at the book signing! It was a night to remember. Thank you to Nadine, Stephanie, and Main Street Books for doing the event!

Have you read Caraval? What about Nadine’s Out of Time trilogy, Fawkes, or Romanov?

Tally ho!

  1. Nadine Brandes’s books are SO AMAZING (though I have yet to read the Out of Time series… I intend to soon!). I’m actually currently reading Caraval right now and plan to finish the entire series once my library gets the other two books! I actually saw Nadine’s Instagram feed showing those pictures and I was like, “Wait isn’t that Mya?” xD

  3. That looks like so much fun! You are so lucky to meet Stephanie Garber and Nadine Brandes! Like I said before, authors need to come to the western part of Canada. Would you like to sign my petition?

      1. Probably the Out of Time series, but Fawkes is a really great price on Book Outlet. So I might buy that one and read it. Depends on which I get first, I suppose πŸ˜‰
