Beauty and the Beast Book Tag

Greetings!! Sorry this post is a day late, I had to unexpectedly babysit last time and didn’t have time to get a post up. 😦 But yay, here’s one now!
I felt like doing a book tag, so I looked up book tags and found this one that sounds really fun. So here it is!

(I’m sitting in the library writing this, surrounded by books. There’s no better setting to  write about bookish characters you love.)

A VILLIAN YOU COULDN’T HELP BUT LOVE

DSC04058

I had to think hard for this one, and… I’m going with Skull from Lockwood and Co.
Ok, I guess he’s not really a villain, but still… he’s a ghost in a ghost hunting book. I guess that would make ghosts the enemies. And he’s really just there spewing random nonsensical comments at them, but I adore him! He’s so sassy and he’s honestly the best. ❤

YOUR OTP (one true pairing)

DSC08775

SOPHITZ. (Sophie + Fitz from KOTLC) Duh what did you expect me to say.

A CHARACTER WHO IS DESTINED FOR GREATER THINGS

DSC06917

Zelie from Children of Blood and Bone. She’s so powerful and awesome and has so much potential! It’s crazy how she goes from having such a small, simple life to going on an epic journey to save the Maji. I love her character so much!

A BOOK THAT MADE YOU HUNGRY

Heartless by Marissa Meyer because who doesn’t love pastries??

Opposites Attract

DSC00236

Percy and Annabeth from Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus. They’re also my OTP and I think they’re pretty opposite… Annabeth is serious and smart and likes to think things out, and Percy is really funny and really impulsive. Annabeth pretty much attempts to keep him from making dumb decisions…

A CHARACTER WHO’S MORE THAN THEY APPEAR

DSC06913

I think all the characters from Caraval, but especially Dante and Tella. Like they’re so mysterious and never really know what twist is coming next, and really they just know so much more than you think they know. (That made no sense sorry)

A BOOK THAT CHANGED YOU IN SOME WAY

img_9806

Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger. This was the book that really got me into reading. I mean I loved reading and was a bookworm before, but this book is when I became a fangirl, started shipping characters, and became an avid book dragon. This was the first series that I truly binged-read and fell in love with. This series also inspired me to become a writer.

A BOOK YOU PICKED UP BECAUSE OF THE HYPE

DSC04066

Harry Potter. Yeah, this is literally everyone’s favorite book and some people cough Samantha cough made me read it… it was good but not my favorite. *shrugs* It’s way overhyped to me, but maybe that’s because I only read the first book.

A BOOK OR MOMENT THAT ALWAYS MAKES YOU CRY

The ending of Champion by Marie Lu. And yes, those are actual pictures of me sobbing at 1 a.m. over this book. Every time I reread that ending my heart breaks again and I can’t help crying….

That was a really fun tag! I tag…

Samantha @redhead with a book (Come back to blogging girl!)

Rose @ A purpose of winged dogs

Charis @ Charis Rae

…and anyone else who wants to do this!

Thanks for reading! ❤

  1. First things first- I ALSO CRIED AT THE END OF CHAMPION I MEAN WHYYYYYYYYYYY?!??!? (BUT- there’s a new novella coming out soon! It’s the champion epilogue from Day’s perspective and I’M READY TO START CRYING WHEN I READ IT.) I also love KOTLC! I think it was the second fandom that I ‘joined’ (as in draw fanart, talk with other fans online, etc.)
    Great post!

    1. I READ THE NOVELLA AND SOBBED MYSELF TO SLEEP ALL OVER AGAIN. (It’s in the back of the new paperback edition of warcross) Yesss, KOTLC was the first a fandom I joined, too. We need to talk about books more!!

      1. Yay!! I love to talk about books- in fact, one of the reasons I started a blog was to fangirl about books!
Also, I OWN THE PAPERBACK EDITION OF WARCROSS AND I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY AN EXCERPT SO I SKIPPED IT BECAUSE I DON’T READ EXCERPTS AND NOW I’M GOING TO READ IT AND CRY!!
(I just realized how many capitals there are 😂)

      2. YES I DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT WAS IN IT AND I FLIPPED TO THE BACK AND SAW “Life After Legend” AND I SCREAMED BC I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THERE WAS A NOVELLA. You’ve probably read it by now and probably cried. 😥 the pages are crinkled and tear stained from my emotions…

  2. This was such an entertaining post and I loved how it was from a bookworm just like me. I think I’ll do it if I need an idea for my blog. Also if you ever want to read a life-changing book, read Unblemished by Sara Ella or Kiki Strike: Inside the Shadow City. They are amazing and my favourite books.

      1. I’m rereading this blog post after going through my bookshelf. I was surprised with the amount of books that we both have. Like the books we both have read.
You are not alone! My friend told me to read the Champion series and I nearly cried when I found out that Day no longer remembers June.
She also told me to read Keepers of the Lost Cities and I loved it. The minute after finishing the book and relishing the ending, I ordered the next 6 books. Though I feel that Dez and Sophie make a better match then Fitz and Sophie.

      2. Yeah! Legend is definitely my favorite trilogy. And Keeper of the Lost Cities is my favorite series ever. After that I love Percy Jackson, The Heroes of Olympus, and Lockwood and Co. You should totally get gooodreads. 😃

      3. I already have Goodreads because were else will I document my favorite books. I really want to read Percy Jackson so I ordered it from the library. I take it that the book is popular since there is 35 holds on 12 books!
But yes, Keeper of the Lost Cities is an awesome book! I already ordered the 7th book since they had it and I still have to read book 2. 🙂
